Video of the Bike Virginia Tour
Get the real flavor for the fun we have at the famous and beloved 29 year old cycling event in Virginia by watching this video of the Bike Virginia Tour. These images are from the 2015 bike event which was our 28th annual tour. Over 1,200 people joined us for the event.
The 2015 event was held in the far Southwest corner of Virginia in the lovely communities of Abingdon and Kingsport in Tennessee. Riders enjoyed seeing sights along the “Crooked Road” music trail, farmland, and interesting historic towns. We camped at 2 beautiful locations, the 4-H center in Abingdon and the Allendale Mansion in Kingsport.
Each year we move to a new location and in 2016 we travel to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley which is one of Virginia’s great places to ride offering scenic riding on beautiful rolling roads in the countryside. The footage and images are sure to make you eager to ride the 2016 bike event.
The 2016 event’s first host town in Woodtock Virginia which is a great kicking off point next to a quaint town. Our second location is Harrisonburg Virginia. Both locations offer great restaurants, historic sights, and amazing road riding.
Bike Virginia Activities
When you watch this montage video of the Bike Virginia Tour you’ll notice that there is tons of fun happening at the event. Our event feels like a great big family gathering where people meet up to share their passions for cycling and adventure. We do so much in a span of 6 days. Riding is our priority so we craft the finest hand picked routes and then add a ton of off-the-bike fun for afterward. It’s a true bike-cation. Ride, relax, enjoy concerts, do yoga, get a massage, read a great book, visit a historical place. Our planning team puts together a full schedule of fun activities for you to chose from.
