Bike Virginia is so much more than a bike ride! On top of all the amazing Virginia cycling routes we offer to you in 2016 there is a whole schedule of activities for your afternoon, evenings, or if you’d like to take a day off the bike. Below you will find our on Site, Nearby, and On-Your-Own Excursions. Be sure to check out our Bike Virginia Bus Excursions too.

Here’s a sneak peek at the fun things we have in store.

ACTIVITIES, ENTERTAINMENT- AT AND NEAR HEADQUARTERS

Vintage Woodstock Festival will be taking place near our event headquarters. This annual June activity includes dancing in the streets, food, arts & crafts, wine & beer garden, children’s activities and fun for the entire family. Free.
Friday June 24, 2016 – 6:00pm – 10:00pm Featuring the band Revolution

Musical Entertainment Nightly -6:00pm – 8:00pm at headquarters. Local artist Bill Vaughan, Saturday and Sunday. Bluegrass and more at Rockingham, Monday and Tuesday.

EXCURSIONS:   SHUTTLES PROVIDED

Here are 5 great excursions to choose from during your Bike Virginia adventure. Shuttles are provided(see bus schedule), but please, feel free to sign up and take your own transportation!!

Fort Valley Ranch Horseback riding and Wagon rides.
Saturday and Sunday. Limited to 18 horseback riders and 12 wagon riders.
$30.00per person – Horseback Riding.
$10.00per person – Wagon Ride.

Shoes must completely cover the foot. No sandals, crocks, flip flops etc. Long pants are recommended. Horse riders must be 8 years or older and under 250lbs. No restrictions on wagon rides.

Route 11 Outfitters – Kayaking or Tubing on the Shenandoah River!
Take a relaxing trip down the Shenandoah to the new Seven Bends State Park.
$25.00 per person. Pay in advance to reserve your spot. 540-459-8823.

Two hour kayaking trip; shuttle leaves headquarters at2:45pm and 4:15pm and 5:45pm. Three hour tubing float; shuttle leaves headquarters at 2:00pm and 3:30pm.

Winery Tour -Tour 4 of the Shenandoah Valley Vineyards. 40-45mins. at each winery, Tasting fees apply. Tour A-Cave Ridge Vineyards & the Winery at Kindred Pointe. Tour B De Mello & Shenandoah Vineyards.

Each tour takes 3 hours. Sign up in advance at hospitality. Limited seating on bus.

Massanutten Resort -Indoor/Outdoor Waterpark
Park passes must be ordered online using code BikeVA2016 for 50% Off General Admission. (discount available 06/24 – 07/01)
– Family Adventure Park: $15 Combo Pass (normally $30) – includes a Mega Zip Ride, Climbing Wall, and Summer Tubing (discount available Mon 06/27 – Fri 07/01)
– Golf: Must schedule tee time in advance and then show BikeVA2016 wristband that day. $35 (includes 18 holes with cart at either course) Call 540-289-4919 for tee time. (discount available Mon 06/27 – Fri 07/01)

2 Dye 4 – TIE-DYE SUNDAY IN WOODSTOCK & TUESDAY AT ROCKINGHAM 
Bring your own shirt to tie-dye in your favorite shades. You bring the shirt (white 100% cotton is best) and Bonnie will provide all the rest….great for kids and grown-up kids alike!!! SPACE IS LIMITED; pay in advance; see website for details Far Out Man!

Pool is Open -The W.O. Riley pool will be open in Woodstock. Just a short, but steep, bike ride from HQ in Woodstock.
Daily Admission Rates – Ages 5 and under – $3.00, 6-18 – $4.00, 19 and older – $5.00.
Games – Corn Hole, Ladders, Board Games and more are available from Hospitality. Check it out and check them out!

Family Fun Area– New for 2016 we are offering a family camping area with kid’s games and a place for the little ones to bike around on the grass. Relax and let the kids play!

Wheel Building Clinic – Sunday 5:30pm, at the Cycles Ed Tent.

Beer and Wine Garden- Afternoons and evenings at Headquarters. Enjoy a beverage with friends at the cash bar area where you can sit in the shade and relax.

Sunday Photo Fun in Woodstock – Find the “LOVE” letters from Virginia is for Lovers at the courthouse (at the end of the route). Take a perfect souvenir photo! The Historical society will provide a helper so bring your cameras, phones and selfie-sticks. Great costumes provided in our box of goodies for everyone in your group….Memories of a lifetime!

Yoga – Daily yoga activities for adults and kids. Schedule to be announced soon. Bring your mat or a towel for these relaxing outdoor sessions.

Massage- Daily from 1pm-9pm on site. A great way to speed recovery and relax. Fees apply.

Shenandoah Caverns/American Celebration on Parade/Yellow Barn– Friday’s Rest Stop….$16.00 per person gains access to all attractions!

Grand Caverns –Wednesday Rest Stop…. 1 hr. Cavern Tour, leaves very 45min., beginning at 9:30 am. $13.00 per Adult with wristband, $8.00 per child.

Cross Keys Vineyards – Wednesday Rest Stop… The Tasting Room is open until 7 pm on Monday and Tuesday in June. The pricing ranges from $5-$8 per person depending on the tasting choice. If it is a large enough group doing the tasting at the same time, we will offer our group tasting which is seated and $10 per person.

Harrisonburg — visit historic Downtown Harrisonburg for dining and a walking tour, or take the Pub Crawl (3pm — 8pm) of local breweries.
