Below is what a Typical Day in the Life of a Bike Virginia Cyclist is like…
5:30 – 8:30 am BREAKFAST served for pre-purchased meal participants at Headquarters. Bike repair service opens.
5:30 – 9:30 am – Shuttle service begins between Headquarters and hotels.
6:00 – 8:30 am – Luggage loaded onto truck (on move day).
6:00 – 9:00 am – Hospitality Center open.
7:00 am Route officially opens for the day. Please do not start before this time.
7:30 am First rest stop opens.
9:30 am – 4:30 pm LUNCH is served at Headquarters. Bike repair service available.
12:00 pm Luggage arrives at next Headquarters’ location (on move day).
12:00- 6:00 pm Hospitality Center open. This is where you’ll find:
- all your questions answered
- lost and found
- bulletin board for communication
- schedules for afternoon activities
- dinner and entertainment options
- information about the town
- where best to shop
12:00 pm Shuttle service begins between Headquarters, hotels, and sightseeing opportunities.
1:00 – 10:00 pm Massage available at Headquarters.
1:00 – 6:00 pm Special activities – museums, tubing/kayaking, shopping, etc.
3:00 – 6:00 pm Bike repair service available at Headquarters.
5:00 pm Route closes for the day. We will pick you up if you are still on the route at this time. All route support will end.
5:30 – 8:30 pm DINNER served for pre-purchased meal participants at Headquarters or dine on vendor row.
5:00 – 9:00 pm Entertainment options.
10:00 pm Quiet hours begin at Headquarters.
10:00 pm Shuttle Service stops.
