Padre’s Cycle Inn Camping Service Joins Bike Virginia in 2014 to Provide Camping Service BIKE VIRGINIA

As many of you know long time Bike Virginia vendor Mayberry’s Sherpa Service has decided to close his Sherpa business to pursue other interests. We had many great years with Ted and wish him all the  best in his next adventure.  Bikeva2013_social_tents_Small

As soon as we we learned that Ted would not be back the search for a new provider began. Assisted camping is a very important part of the Bike Virginia Tour.

Please help us in welcoming Padre’s Cycle Inn to our Bike Virginia family. We are pleased to announce that Padre’s Cycle Inn will now be providing our ride with First Class Tent and Hospitality Accommodations. Over the past 7 years Padre’s has been providing services for bicycle events such as, Bike Across Kansas, The Katy Trail, Bike Florida, Cycle Zydeco, RAGBRAI, DALMAC, and the Gateway MS 150.

Padre’s, provides a peaceful place of comfort and rest at the end of a long day of cycling. So you can spend more time cycling and less time working on your campsite.

But Padre’s is so much more than a tent rental service and includes many amenities which other vendors either do not include or which they charge extra for.

Here’s a list of some of those services,

  1. Clean, high quality, name brand tents such as Sierra Design and Kelty, with front and rear ventilated door and full rain fly.
  2. Thick comfortable air mattresses already set-up in each tent.
  3. Comfortable chairs to be used around the campsite.
  4. Padre’s Post. A shaded canopy gathering area which is only for Padre’s guests to enjoy good times, laughs and relaxation after the ride. While everyone else is working in the sun you will be taking it easy in the shade.
  5. Plenty of cold soft drinks and snacks in the afternoon.
  6. Plenty of fresh water and Gatorade in the morning for your bottles or camel backs.
  7. Free device Re-charging station. Use for your cell phone, gps, or other electronic devices. Both 12 and 110 volt charging available.
  8. Tent customers also receive luggage service to Padre’s Post. Your luggage will be waiting for you in our own camping area. On move days you won’t have to search through all the other bags for yours.
  9. On site bike pumps, work stand and shop towels for your convenience.

“Imagine after a long day of riding uphill in the wind. You come in and your tent is set up ready to go. The air mattress is inflated and waiting and there’s no searching through mounds of bags because your luggage will be waiting at Padre’s Post. If your mattress goes down in the middle of the night, (unfortunately it happens) our staff will take care of it for you. No roaming around trying to find snacks, or soft drinks in the evening or water in the morning because it’s all waiting for you at Padre’s.”

All of these services are INCLUDED with Padre’s First Class Tent Service so you can spend more time enjoying the ride and less time working to set up camp.  In addition to our tent guests, Padre’s offers towel and chair rental, and other hospitality services for our other cyclist!

Look for an EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNT until 4-30-14. Once the dates for 2014 are announced you can save your tent space. Space is limited and reservations accepted on first come, first served basis, so be sure to sign up early since this event is expected to sell out early.

Major credit cards are accepted by Padre’s. Online registration available soon. Learn more at  at www.PadresCycleInn.com, or by calling Padre at 573-721-4400 “You cycle inn, Padre does the rest!”
