Q: What are the dates for the Bike Virginia Tour in 2014?
A: June 20 – 25, 2014. We offer single day, weekend, and 6 day options during event dates.
Q: How much does registration cost?
A: We offer a variety of registration choices for 2014 from single day to weekend to full 6 day tour. Fees range from $99 to $599. Please visit our registration page for details.
Q: Do I need to be an experienced bike tourer?
A: No, you need no previous touring experience. You will need basic biking skills, riding around others, riding in and around cars. You should be able to change your own tire and have the following equipment to handle problems: multi-tool, spare tubes, patch kit, pump. We have a complete planning section for helping plan your tour.
Q: Where do I register?
A: You will register online. Registration opens November 14, 2013.
Q: Will there be indoor camping?

Q: Will we return to the 1st headquarters on the last day?
A: Yes, the route will go from HQ2 back to HQ1 on Wednesday. HQ1 is where your cars will remain during the tour.
Q: Will these sites have parking for my RV?
A: Yes. Reservations will need to be made directly with each park. For more details click here.
Q: Is there a parking fee for parking my car?
A: Generally no, but this can be site specific. Details to come.
Q: Is there a shuttle on the move day to go back and get my car?
A: Yes, this is a fee based shuttle that can be scheduled with Cycle with Alpine.
Q: Is there power available to charge my phone?
A: This is to be determined based on site locations. Most locations offer a service to charge phones for a small fee. Who needs a phone anyway, you’re on vacation 🙂
Q: Alcohol, is it available at Headquarters?
A: Yes, we will have a beer/wine garden at headquarters.
Q: If I sign up for the weekend do we move locations?
A: No.
